Support St. Gabriel's
Welcome
The history of Saint Gabriel’s Catholic School is a story of visionaries who dreamed of a school of excellence, anchored in Christian values and the Catholic faith. The founders committed to creating a magical place that would instill strong spiritual values and enrich children’s lives.
How does this dream come to life? It is made possible by the blessings of a gracious God and the persistent actions of a generous community. It takes more than a single act of giving to create and sustain excellence. Now in its eleventh year, St. Gabriel’s thrives because of its supporters. Like most private schools, it cannot operate on tuition alone. St. Gabriel’s relies on the entire communities’ commitment to lend support to the school’s giving programs.
In order to accomplish this goal, we seek your support in three ways: Your Gifts of Prayer, Involvement and Financial Support.
First and foremost, your Gift of Prayer is powerful and necessary. Please pray for:
Our Board of Trustees… That God will support, love, and guide them; that they will be open to God’s will and will make wise decisions on behalf of our students and school community.
Our children…That God will keep them close to Him and love them actively; that He will give them the desire to know, love and follow Him, and that He will bless their work, their play, their sports, and their spirits.
Our teachers, coaches, staff, and administrators…That God will support, love, and guide them as they do the same for our children physically, academically, and spiritually; That they will be active Christian role models for our children, and nurture the very best in them.
All St. Gabriel’s families…That God will bless us with a true sense of community, that we will support one another in our efforts to model Christian values and morals for our children, and that we will strive always to uphold the Cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance.
Second, your Gift of Involvement is vital.
Your involvement as a parent and school volunteer is important to all we do. In volunteering, parents model service, and ensure both cost savings and fundraising income for St. Gabriel’s. Without parental involvement, St. Gabriel’s would have to hire additional faculty and staff to support the many classroom, athletic and service projects, not to mention the small army of volunteers required each year to ensure the tremendous success of the annual gala, golf tournament, and many service projects. Because of your Gift of Involvement, St. Gabriel’s is able to offer your children countless opportunities. Thank you! For a list of ways you can be involved, click here.
Finally, your Gift of Financial Support ensures St. Gabriel’s ability to fully fulfill its mission to: educate students in a challenging environment that fosters character formation through scholastic excellence and physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. Our goal is to instill in each student a lasting love of learning and a lifelong commitment to Christian values and service.
Why is your gift of Financial Support so important?
St. Gabriel’s is an independent Catholic School, which means that the school is financially independent of the Diocese of Austin and operates as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Because we are not affiliated with a particular Catholic parish, we are not part of any parish operating budget. Just like most independent schools, annual tuition alone does not cover the actual cost of educating your children.
St. Gabriel's Funding Model
Tuition + Donations = Cost of Education
St. Gabriel’s follows a century–old financial model used by thousands of America’s best private schools. This model combines tuition and charitable donations to balance the school’s operating budget, and specifies that 80-90% of operating costs be covered by tuition and fees and 10-20% be covered by donations. St. Gabriel’s has embraced this historically successful model of tuition + donations for two reasons:
-
It allows St. Gabriel’s to maintain a healthy enrollment by keeping tuition as low as possible.
-
It enables families to receive a charitable tax deduction for a portion of the cost of your child’s education.
