We’re offering a variety of camps all summer for all ages with both morning and afternoon options.  All speciality camps are scheduled from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  These include basketball, volleyball, chess, STEAM, Just Imagine Theater, and much more.  During the afternoon, we provide a fun and secure environment for students who need or want to stay all day.  Join the fun by registering today.

  • Saber Chill Camp | Current SGCS Families Only

    Do you need a spot for your kids before the summer REALLY kicks into high gear.  We've got you covered.  Saber Chill Camp is fun and low-key camp that provides on-site care, supervision, and fun to current SGCS students and families.  We'll play in the gym and on the playground, enjoy arts and crafts, watch movies, and relax before the craziness of June and July.

    Whether you are a current Saber, a future Saber, or a friend of a Saber, three to six-year-olds are welcome to join the fun at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School Junior Saber Summer Camp. Campers will experience a fun-filled day by discovering thematic lessons, making new friends, and exploring the SGCS campus and all that it has to offer.
  • Cub Club Cooking | 4 - 10 years old

    Cub Club Cooking Camp is a fun way to introduce students to healthy foods, and empower them to make snacks on their own! Each day, little chefs work together to create two tasty dishes that they will get to enjoy. Students will learn how to chop, mix, measure, and practice basic cooking skills in a fun and safe environment. In addition, members get an apron and a kid-friendly chef knife to take home at the end of the classes! Cub Club Cooking strives to use organic and non-GMO ingredients, and create dishes made from seasonal fruits and vegetables. Examples of the types of foods we make are parfaits, wraps, guacamole, crepes, fruit salads, pita pockets, and more! Our program is happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions.
  • Drone You | 6 - 12 years old

    Come join us for an exciting and innovative new summer camp:  DroneYou.  DroneYou kid flyers will learn the basics of flight and how to safely control both small and large indoor drones.  As they progress, our young flyers will be presented with more creative and fun challenges; such as, obstacles, courses, races, video/film, photography, and 'drones on the job'.  Different sized drones and other flying materials will be used to help the kids learn more about flying and the technology used in this growing field of computer science and engineering.  Space is limited to 10 flyers, so sign up soon to be a part of the fun.

    Little Medical School
    June 3 - June 7
    The mission of Little Medical School® is to teach elementary and middle school children about the exciting field of medicine. Through hands-on demonstrations, crafts, and games, children are actively engaged as they explore the world of medicine. Students will discover how the body and organs work, how to use medical instruments, administer first aid and even tie knots like a real surgeon. Each child will receive a working stethoscope to take home and a diploma as a graduate of the Little Medical School® after completion of the course.

    Little Veterinarian School
    June 10 - June 14
    Little Veterinarian School® encourages elementary school children to role play and explore the exciting world of veterinarians. Using interactive demonstrations, crafts and games, kids learn how to take care of a pet and use instruments that real veterinarians use. Little Veterinarian School® brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children in an entertaining and engaging way. From after school programs to birthday parties and camps, children have fun and learn at the same time. Classes are designed and developed by a team of board-certified and trained physicians.

    Little Medical School: Wilderness Medicine
    June 17 - June 21
    LMS- Wilderness Medicine brings medicine, science and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting and fun way. Our program will teach children about some of the dangers in the wild and how to safely handle a medical situation. For example, students will learn about snake bites, hypothermia, how to tie a tourniquet, splint a broken leg, filter dirty water, 20 uses of a bandana and how to treat bug bites. Our classes are led by a trained Little Medical School instructor. Each child receives a diploma, disposable lab coat, LMS bandana, thermal blanket and so much more.
  • Lore Adventures | 8 - 12 years old

    Lore Adventures offers camps and programs in Adventure Quest™, an active, outdoor, Renaissance-themed theater game, designed to develop imagination, interpersonal skills, team-building, and creative problem-solving skills. It is also really, really FUN!

    The children are the heroes of an incredibly fun and dynamic quest, working together in a mythical and magical world to overcome interesting challenges, solve mystifying riddles, brainstorm unique solutions to puzzling dilemmas, and swashbuckle with foes. The campers experience the excitement and confidence that comes from banding together to defend their village, solve a perplexing mystery, or negotiate a peace treaty.

    Adventure Quest makes use of safe foam Swashers in an environment that teaches good sportsmanship, fair play, and respect for others.

    This is a camp designed to inspire the inventor and scientist in you! Each day campers will be given challenges which must be overcome using basic materials, tips from world famous inventors, your newly acquired science knowledge and the most important thing of all – your mind. Thomas Edison said “Invention is 10% inspiration and 90% perspiration.” This camp is 100% fun!
     
    June 10 - June 14
    Spy Academy 
    Become a Mad Science secret spy and take a fascinating journey into the world of detection, forensics and classified information. Learn code language to send secret messages as part of your mission. Go undercover and decode messages from other agents using your top secret clearance. Investigate a pretend crime scene and sift through clues to crack the case. Join the Mad Science Bureau of Investigation and sniff out forgeries and counterfeits. Take home projects include a detective kit, spy glasses and more!

    Science Explorations 
    Explore the world of science! Discover space travel as you prep your “egg-stronaut” for flight and build your very own flying orbiter. Design your own crash test helmet to protect your “egg-cellent” partner. Use the rays of the sun to change the color of beads and to turn a shadow into a picture. Figure out the trick of tight ropes with the help of a balancing friend. Send your friends secret messages using chemical reactions. Discover your scientific passion by exploring life, earth and physical science.

    Yuckology 
    Make “brain goo” and check out your bones as you travel the organ trail. Go inside a scientist’s lab and discover the secrets you’ve always wondered about. Make your own radical reactions, a crazy chemical clock, Mad Science mucus and more. Compare fingerprints and discover the mysteries of cells with a slimy cell model. Become a Mad Science detective by investigating the crime scene of a Mad Science mystery. Use your new forensic skills to solve the crime!

    Imagine Arts Academy: Crayola® Artist’s Passport 
    Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure − explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make different masterpieces each day such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses, and more! Bring the unique creations home and build a globally-inspired art gallery.

    Rockin’ Rockets 
    Mad Science invites you to launch your knowledge of flight as you build your very own rockets. Experiment with different kinds of propulsion systems as you use your new knowledge to blast off, track and recover different kinds of rockets. Have a “Rockin” good time at this rocket camp!
     
    July 22 - July 26 
    Moving With Science 
    Discover how things move with science. Take apart pellets to see what an owl cannot digest! View the world through a camera obscura. Join a team of camper engineers and build bridges, domes, cubes and pyramids. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, and simple machines. Make your own sidewalk chalk, crystal gardens and chromatography-dyed T-shirt!
  • Play Well TEKnologies | 5 - 10 years old

    STEM Foundations
    Level up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as: Gear Cars, Castles, Airplanes, and Scissor Lifts. Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. There are no prerequisites for this course.

    Minecraft Engineering
    Bring Minecraft to life using tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects such as a motorized Creeper, a portal to the Nether, and a moving Minecart! Create your favorite Minecraft objects with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Whether you are new to Minecraft and the LEGO® building system or a seasoned veteran, you'll be hooked on the endless creative possibilities.

    Jedi Engineering
    The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects using LEGO® materials such as X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire!

    Come hang out with Dot and Dash Robots while learning coding and programming this summer! Using Wonder Workshop's Dot and Dash robots, campers will learn coding and programming basics during challenges and lessons on different coding terms.We will end our week with an EPIC robot olympics, too!     Welcome to our award winning Saber Robotics program!  Younger students will be challenged with fun, hands-on explorations with the LEGO WeDo robotics program, and other robotics activities.  All curious and creative creators are encouraged to join us for a fun week of building, programming, teamwork, and problem-solving.
    Middle school students have the opportunity to explore basic concepts in robotics and computer programming.  Students will be challenged in using the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms program to complete mini competitions and team challenges throughout the week.  Come build, program, and control your own LEGO robots!       
  • Saber STEAM with Ms. Nguyen | 6 - 10 years old

    At LS STEAM Camp, students will have hands-on opportunities to explore high and low tech making such as circuitry, coding, construction, and sewing. Students will use design thinking to engineer a product that will be taken home at the end of camp.     The fun-filled and engaging Future Saber Volleyball Player Camp is designed to help campers of all levels improve their skills and overall understanding of the game. The camp will focus on all volleyball-related skills, including attacking, blocking, setting, serving, passing, and game play. The focal point of this camp is fun and enjoyment while developing basic volleyball skills, hand-eye coordination, and ball-control work.

    Littler Coders | 5 - 7 years old

    Our Little Coders camp is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for ages 5-7. Students are introduced to basic coding concepts in a variety of ways, from playing coding board games like Robot Turtles to programming their first games or animated stories. We use age-appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch. After the camp, students will be able to share their projects with family and friends and continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids Scratch account. 

    Scratch Game Development I | 7 - 11 years old

    Start your coding journey by creating your own games! Campers will learn the core concepts of computer programming that will lay the foundations for future coding success. A variety of projects, such as chasing games, mazes, and animated stories, will allow campers to use their creativity while learning coding concepts like loops and variables. Our unique curriculum and smaller class size provide personalized instruction that helps students progress at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. Students will have access to their own Scratch account that will allow them to continue working on their coding journey at home.

    Minecraft Modding | 8 - 12 years old

    Prerequisites:
    • Minecraft PC Account (Students need to bring their own Minecraft for PC login to the camps. XBox or iOS minecraft accounts do not work for this camp.)
    • Prior coding experience not required, but helpful
    Calling all Minecrafters! Building Minecraft mods is a great way to learn programming, harness creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills while making your favorite game even better. Each camper will have their own Minecraft server where they can customize the game with their own world maps and features. Students will be coding mods to create new items, environments, non-playable characters, game modes, and more! Using a simple drag-and-drop coding environment, campers will accomplish exciting results with their one-of-a-kind Minecraft features!
    Camp tuition includes a 3-week subscription (week of camp + 2) to a premium Minecraft modding development environment with access to a private server. You may choose to extend the subscription by signing up on a monthly basis afterwards.

    The S.T.A.C.K (Soccer Training Athletic Club for Kids) program is designed to provide a structured training plan in order to develop the basic fundamentals of soccer. Our goal is to use the game of soccer to help build self-confidence, while developing each athletes teamwork, and sportsmanship skills.  
     
    The skills learned during the STACK program are specifically tailored to focus on the development of each individual player. We emphasize conditioning, footwork, passing/dribbling, decision making, and teamwork. This program has been carefully designed to enable each player to progressively develop or add to their current level of play accordingly. Whether your child is just beginning to learn about the sport or already in advanced soccer, S.T.A.C.K is the perfect program to assist in all areas of skill development.

    Can You Dig It?
    Travel back in time to find ancient artifacts. Learn about the humans and animals that lived in an era long before technology like cell phones and the internet! Become an archaeologist and explore how cultures before us practiced science and engineering. Find out what natural disasters they experienced and how they lived. Dig up some fun in this summer camp!

    Anatomy Academy
    From growing plants to growing bacteria, this camp explores life in and around us! Campers will find out what necessities small and large organisms require to exist and grow some of their own. We will collect germs and grow them in a petri dish, learn how to heal broken bones, and travel through the human body as we study the fascinating processes that power us!

    Need a safe place to stay after morning camps?  Our afternoon Saber Kids Camp will provide fun and secure supervision immediately following morning camps until 4:00 pm.  Younger Sabers will join the Jr. Saber Camp for afternoon activities.  Older students be given more freedom to pursue  hobbies, recreation, and interests.  Instead of following a strict program or schedule, our Saber Kids teachers will entertain our students by engaging with each student's interests and supervise their exploration.

    This academic camp provides middle school students of all abilities the opportunity to review and practice math readiness skills required for their specific grade level.  Students will engage in hands-on and interactive activities to gain confidence in mastering their math skills and concepts. Students will receive support to complete their summer math packets, and have the opportunity to preview the middle school math expectations for the upcoming year.  

    Students can attend one or both weeks.    
  • Algebra Readiness Camp | Incoming 7th - 8th Graders

    Students preparing to take Pre-Algebra and Algebra will benefit from review and enrichment activities to help ensure success at the next level.  This camp will focus on algebra readiness skills and strategies, and include challenging activities to apply problem solving and critical thinking skills.  The camp will include review of fractions, decimals, integers, ratios, percent, and order of operations.  Students will solve and graph linear equations and inequalities, and cover a variety of other algebraic concepts.  Individual support time will be provided to help students in completing their summer math packet.

    Students can attend one or both weeks.

    Welcome to all upcoming 5th through 8th grade students. Train with Coach Harwig for a week to improve your skills in agility, speed, and strength. 
    Students can expect to build strength and endurance, improve their running form, and learn injury prevention. There will be daily competitions, and students will get fit while having fun. Also, athletes will learn the science behind what they are doing and why. Plan to bring a gallon of water with you and a healthy snack so we can stay energized and hydrated! On the last day, as a reward for all the hard work, a giant slip and slide will be set up once they finish the final training session. This camp will help any athlete who wants to improve in their individual sports performance, or improve their overall health and get in shape.

Figure out the trick of tight ropes with the help of a balancing friend. Send your friends secret messages using chemical reactions.     Yuckology 
    Make “brain goo” and check out your bones as you travel the organ trail. Go inside a scientist’s lab and discover the secrets you’ve always wondered about. Make your own radical reactions, a crazy chemical clock, Mad Science mucus and more. Compare fingerprints and discover the mysteries of cells with a slimy cell model. Become a Mad Science detective by investigating the crime scene of a Mad Science mystery. Use your new forensic skills to solve the crime!

    Imagine Arts Academy: Crayola® Artist’s Passport 
    Embark on an around-the-world cultural adventure − explore far-off places and learn about the people who live there, from the Americas to Polynesia, from the cosmopolitan to the countryside. Experiment with Crayola® products, while trying art techniques developed by local artists and artisans. Make different masterpieces each day such as drums, masks, canvases, prints, buses, and more!     Moving With Science 
    Discover how things move with science. Take apart pellets to see what an owl cannot digest! View the world through a camera obscura. Join a team of camper engineers and build bridges, domes, cubes and pyramids. Assemble and control pulleys, levers, catapults, and simple machines. Make your own sidewalk chalk, crystal gardens and chromatography-dyed T-shirt!

    Middle school students have the opportunity to explore basic concepts in robotics and computer programming.  Students will be challenged in using the LEGO EV3 Mindstorms program to complete mini competitions and team challenges throughout the week.  Come build, program, and control your own LEGO robots!

    Our Little Coders camp is an opportunity for young children to develop their computational thinking skills, build their first programs, and have fun with new friends! The curriculum is designed specifically for early readers and takes into account cognitive abilities as well as the attention span typical for ages 5-7. Students are introduced to basic coding concepts in a variety of ways, from playing coding board games like Robot Turtles to programming their first games or animated stories. We use age-appropriate online tools, including Lightbot, Kodable, and Scratch. After the camp, students will be able to share their projects with family and friends and continue programming at home with their Coding with Kids Scratch account. 

    Scratch Game Development I | 7 - 11 years old

    Start your coding journey by creating your own games! Campers will learn the core concepts of computer programming that will lay the foundations for future coding success. A variety of projects, such as chasing games, mazes, and animated stories, will allow campers to use their creativity while learning coding concepts like loops and variables. Our unique curriculum and smaller class size provide personalized instruction that helps students progress at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. Students will have access to their own Scratch account that will allow them to continue working on their coding journey at home.

    Minecraft Modding | 8 - 12 years old

    Prerequisites:
    • Minecraft PC Account (Students need to bring their own Minecraft for PC login to the camps. XBox or iOS minecraft accounts do not work for this camp.)
    • Prior coding experience not required, but helpful
    Calling all Minecrafters! Building Minecraft mods is a great way to learn programming, harness creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills while making your favorite game even better. Each camper will have their own Minecraft server where they can customize the game with their own world maps and features. Students will be coding mods to create new items, environments, non-playable characters, game modes, and more! Using a simple drag-and-drop coding environment, campers will accomplish exciting results with their one-of-a-kind Minecraft features!
    Camp tuition includes a 3-week subscription (week of camp + 2) to a premium Minecraft modding development environment with access to a private server. You may choose to extend the subscription by signing up on a monthly basis afterwards.

    Need a safe place to stay after morning camps?  Our afternoon Saber Kids Camp will provide fun and secure supervision immediately following morning camps until 4:00 pm.  Younger Sabers will join the Jr. Saber Camp for afternoon activities.  Older students be given more freedom to pursue  hobbies, recreation, and interests.  Instead of following a strict program or schedule, our Saber Kids teachers will entertain our students by engaging with each student's interests and supervise their exploration.
