Kathryn Meyeres, 3rd Grade

Kathryn Meyeres is St. Gabriel’s 3rd Grade Science and Social Studies teacher.  Kathryn joined the St. Gabriel’s family in 2014, bringing with her 10 years of teaching experience. Kathryn loves teaching because she believes that learning is fun and we must all continue to learn throughout our lives. She loves to show students that all subjects are intertwined, important, and relevant.  Kathryn loves watching the metaphorical light bulb turn on over the students’ heads when they understand a new concept for the first time.
A native Austinite, Kathryn went to St. Michael’s Catholic Academy next door before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development, with a minor in fine arts, from The University of Texas at Austin. When she is not teaching, you’ll find Kathryn wrangline her twins girls, dreaming of a beach vacation in the Caribbean, or going to every UT home football game—she hasn’t missed one in 24 years!
