Allison Starling, Director of Innovation
Allison Starling is the Director of Innovative Learning at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School. Allison joined St. Gabriel’s in 2015, bringing with her a wealth of experience as a classroom teacher and instructional leader. Allison’s work is driven by her passion for creating authentic learning experiences, through instructional coaching, that manifest in future ready students, prepared for their next steps in an ever-changing world.
BACK TO FACULTY AND STAFF BIOS
Her career has included receiving her Bachelors of Arts in History with a concentration in Secondary Education from Louisiana State University and her Master’s degree in Educational Administration with Principal Certification from Texas A&M University. Starling’s instructional experiences include teaching in a Title 1, PBL environment with 1:1 iPad distribution as well as globally collaborating on projects with other leaders in education and presenting on a multitude of topics at events such as SXSW and ISTE.
In her spare time, Starling enjoys hiking with her husband, Matt, and their pups, Pistol Pete, Abita, and Angel as well as watching movies at home, snuggled up with her cats, Gumbeaux and Magnolia. Starling is very passionate about the LSU Tigers and greatly enjoys NCAA Football Season.
