Brooke Mackenzie

Upper School Visual Arts Teacher

Brooke Mackenzie holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas in Austin as well as a Master’s of Fine Arts from Edinburgh College of Arts in Scotland. She joined the SMP faculty in 2019. Brooke is an accomplished working artist and dedicated art educator with 30 years of experience in professional art practice and teaching students from all ages and backgrounds. Her teaching philosophy focuses on providing a balanced approach that blends technical art skills with personal expression and creative growth. Through this approach, Brooke strives to help students grow not only as artists but also as thoughtful, confident individuals with a lifelong appreciation for the arts. On most weekends she can be found puttering around her art studio, creating her own works of art.
