Roxanne Thurman

Upper School Dean of STEM

After a 15 year career as a Professional Engineer focused on civil and structural design, Roxanne launched a new teaching career. For over 12 years she has served countless STEM students teaching Physics, Engineering, Robotics, Biology and all levels of Mathematics. She recieved a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Certificate of School Leadership and Management from Harvard University. Two of her three children are SMP alum. She and her husband enjoy hiking in the mountains and Texas Swing dancing. Now serving as the Math Departement Chair and Dean of STEM at the Upper School, she enjoys working with teachers and supporting curriculum in all STEM areas.
