Sarah Bannon
Upper School ASL Instructor
Sarah joined our school in 2016 during Winter Term teaching the very first ASL (American Sign Language) class. It was so successful that it became a credit course in the World Languages Department. Since then, the ASL program as grown to level 3. She enjoys reading, being outside, kayaking/SUP-basically anything outside when it's above 70 degrees! Sarah's two children are alums of our school as well. Sarah graduated from Gallaudet University, the world's only liberal arts college for the deaf in Washington, D.C. with a BA in Elementary Education and a MA in Deaf Education. She has taught at different schools for the deaf including college level students, but has since found her happy place: teaching ASL to high school students here at St. Michael's Prep!
