St. Gabriel’s is a place where effort, problem solving and service are valued, and students are empowered to make thoughtful decisions and care for others. Our community enables students to become global citizens and leaders in the 21st century and to change the world through their faith, ideas, vision, and service.
St. Gabriel’s inspires our preschool, kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students to strengthen their minds and hearts in their quest for knowledge and excellence. Our school community supports and challenges students across grades and curriculums to work to their full potential by:

  • Differentiated Learning

    Developing each child’s potential through the process of differentiated learning, where teachers use a variety of instructional strategies based on student readiness levels, interests and preferred mode of learning. A few examples of this are: guided reading, guided math, workshop approach to Language Arts instruction, and much more.
  • Challenging and Enriched Curriculum

    Fostering scholastic achievement through a challenging and enriched curriculum in language arts, social studies, foreign language, math, history, geography, science, religion, music, fine and performing arts, and physical education
  • Social Emotional Learning (SEL)

    Integrating the teaching of emotional intelligence into daily life through social emotional learning (SEL), which is fundamental to a child’s social and emotional development, ethical development, citizenship, motivation to achieve, success and happiness
  • Service Learning

    Providing rich, grade-level educational experiences and school-wide community service opportunities through service learning that combine academics with public service
  • Cardinal Virtues

    Modeling for all children the Cardinal virtues of Prudence (Sound Judgment), Justice (Responsibility), Fortitude (Personal Courage), and Temperance (Self-Mastery)
  • STEAM by Design

    Infusing STEAM by Design into the learning experience that enables students to practice problem-based, experiential learning and design thinking to create meaningful solutions for real-world problems
  • Daily Physical Education and Inclusive Athletic Programs

    Teaching sportsmanship through daily physical education and inclusive athletic programs
  • Health and Wellness

    Making available a full-time registered nurse during school hours to oversee health and wellness policies and programs and create a healthy school environment
  • Library Collection

    Housing a library collection of more than 14,000 books, multi-media items such as audio-books, music CDs and DVDs, and resources and equipment for use by students, faculty and parents
  • Student Support Services

    Providing counseling and guidance through student support services to help students work through personal, social and academic challenges
  • Technological Resources

    Providing best-in-class technological resources to support student learning, including a one-to-one laptop program, iPads, and tele-presence capabilities
  • Writing Emphasized Across the Curriculum

    Offering writing emphasized across the curriculum, which teaches children to use a higher level of thinking across subjects that challenges students to analyze and process what they read through writing
  • After-School Programming

    Offering safe after-school care for students, Saber Kids for Junior Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students, and Saber Study for Middle School students
