We strive for diversity and inclusion at St. Gabriel’s, and our Admission Committee evaluates applications based on each child’s potential to succeed in our school’s unique and challenging educational environment. The Committee also considers the student’s and parents’ ability to commit to an environment rooted in Christian values.
We invite prospective families to visit our campus during Open Houses (November 9, January 10, and April 12) and throughout the year. Families are always welcome to join us for weekly Mass and other school-related activities to become better acquainted with our school community.
Shadow visits offer opportunities for prospective students from first to eighth grade to experience a typical day at St. Gabriel’s. Students will shadow a class at his or her grade level to meet other students and participate in classroom activities. Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a shadow visit.
Our staff will schedule a play group appointment for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students so we can observe their social interactions with other children and get to know their personalities. Play group appointments are similar to shadow visits and allow prospective students to become comfortable with our school.
We encourage you to pick up a copy of our grade-level curriculum from the St. Gabriel’s Admissions Office. We are happy to answer specific questions about curriculum during campus tours and classroom visits as well.
Yes, entrance examinations are required for first- through eighth-grade students. Developmental readiness assessments are required for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. Please review our application checklist to learn more about what is required for your child’s specific grade. Entrance examinations and assessments are only one measure of an applicant’s success and are used in conjunction with other admission information
