Mrs. Sloan brings to St. Michael’s Prep robust educational expertise and a deep commitment to supporting the positive growth and development of adolescent students. Over the past 13 years, Mrs. Sloan has been instrumental in the success of our school as Head of School, Director of Academics, Humanities Chair, and Teacher. Additionally, serving a key role in the accreditation processes for both ISAS and TCCBED, she has infused our school with leadership and a remarkable inspiration for excellence.
Her bold vision to create an immersive and transformative experience for our students through the Upper School Winter Term has indeed set our school apart. During this incredible 3 weeks, our students broaden their horizons through international or domestic travel & service trips, professional internships, or extraordinarily engaging and unique electives.
In addition, her leadership was the driving force behind developing innovative and groundbreaking curriculum for the HALO project. Watching our students soar in this space is a testament to Mrs. Sloan’s constant forward-looking approach to our student’s educational and formative experiences.
Mrs. Sloan is a graduate of Furman University, Greenville, SC with a Bachelor of Arts in French, and was awarded a Bachelor of Science (Foreign Language Education) from Kennesaw State University, Kennesaw, GA. She also earned a Master of Education, (Educational Leadership Concentration in Independent School Leadership) from George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.
