Karen Broaddus

Karen Broaddus joined the Lower School in 2022 with over seven years of experience in education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development with a specialization in special education from The University of Texas at Austin. Karen began her career teaching 5th and 3rd grades before taking a pause to raise her family. She returned to teaching in 2020 and truly enjoys the process of learning. One of Karen's favorite things is to help a student find their unique voice or opinion and to show them how to creatively express and share that viewpoint with others. When not in the classroom, she enjoys photography, art, music, traveling, and spending time with her family and her dog named Charlotte.
