John Shults, Class of 2005

With a vision for endless possibilities, John Shults embraces the notion of trying new things, failing forward, and implementing lessons learned to improve the status quo.

"My St. Gabriel’s education taught me the courage and strength needed to adopt this powerful approach to doing business. It’s been incredible to realize the successes that come when not being afraid to try something new.” With his faith at the forefront of all he does, John finds inspiration in hard work and serving others. “My goal in life is not to accumulate, but to give. I know I will find joy in having a fulfilling and balanced life thanks to my St. Gabriel’s experience where I learned to appreciate and seek the things that really matter: love of God, and love of neighbor.”

As a graduate of the Mays Business School at Texas A&M, John is now a Team Leader and Realtor with the Heyl Group at Keller Williams Realty. He encourages other St. Gabriel’s alumni to “keep the lessons you learned at St. Gabriel’s with you at all times, for the rest of the world has not been given the gift of those same lessons.”

When asked what it means to be a St. Gabriel’s alumnus, he says, “it’s an honor. There are not many and it is an elite group, changing the world for good.”
